NWS were asked to visit site and forward proposals for the refurbishment of an existing 600m3 sprinkler storage tank. We were awarded the refurbishment contract, along with any ancilliary works found on entry. The tank had a full internal refurbishment including Epoxy Coating, Roof Purlin Repair, Ball Valve Refurbishment and a New 3kw Immersion Heater.
NWS were asked to quote for remedial works to 2no sprinkler tanks. A site visit was carried out and extensive corrosion was evident in both sprinkler storage tanks. Our Epoxy Refurbishment System and EPDM lining conversion were recommended. We were awarded the contract to convert both tanks to the EPDM linings, along with other upgrade works.
The existing sprinkler tank stored standby water for emergency services, in the event of a fire and fire service attendance. A significant amount of internal corrosion was present, along with a defective gauge and infill ball valve. A new EPDM tank lining was chosen to refurbish the existing tank, complete with a new contents gauge and ball float valve.
An ROV sprinkler tank survey was carried out on both sprinkler storage tanks. One tank was an existing older mastic sealed design, with the second a more modern EPDM lining sealed design. The existing tank lining was found to be perforated with a significant amount of leakage. A new EPDM lining was installed along with a Low Level Access Housing, 3kw Immersion and Roof Purlin Repair. A decision was made by the client to refurbish the existing mastic sealed tank. The sprinkler tanks internal surfaces had a 3 coat epoxy system applied, with a range of other associated works undertaken.
NWS were asked to carryout a visual sprinkler tank inspection on an existing installation. Visual leakage was present from a number of perforation areas. A refurbishment proposal was forwarded and accepted by the client. All leakage areas were sealed and an epoxy coating system applied to prevent future corrosion. A new 3kw frost element and contents gauge were also installed.
An existing sprinkler tank ROV survey had been undertaken and we were asked to quote for the recommended remedial works. A number of tank perforations were present, which were fibreglass repaired. A three coat epoxy system was applied, along with a new Low Level Access Housing, 3kw Immersion, Calibrated Contents Gauge and Repair of Existing Roof Purlins.
